Slogans and talks are all very well. But the actuality of Living with Compassion seems to have eluded BKA in the matter mentioned in the post on the left.

As you know, along with tasty recipes, support for a vegan lifestyle, a handful of
our excellent experiences and appeals to management to lift their game here and there, this website exists to bring to light matters which we think BK students (and BKA supporters) should be informed about, in good faith. BK students are encouraged almost
daily in the Teachings to donate their ‘time money and energy’, to the institution, and so should be aware of BK management matters which appear to need attention. As usual we write our concerns to the BKA Board before posting
here, giving the Board ample time to respond. We sought clarity about the matters below from the Board over a month ago, but…
We have already mentioned an apparent scam of some BK’s by a BKA board member,++THE TRUMAN SHOW? (a board member who we now find has rather inflated professional
credentials) reported by apparent victims: a BK doctor recently told us he had also been approached, but declined the ‘investment’ offer..how wise. A BK sister wrote us last month that she had not only been approached earlier this year to
‘invest’, but also asked to approach her contacts who might be interested to do so! The proposed investment would be on a ’trust only’ basis but she was assured that it it ‘could not fail’. She also claims to have been been
sexually approached by a board member, which in the BK circumstances she found rather upsetting, and drew the matter to the attention of the BKA Board chair, who did not respond, she writes. We would have thought that a necessary and proper response would
have been one of establishing the truth, along with compassion, understanding and action regarding all parties, but not on this occasion, apparently.
We also note that a few weeks ago, a long time BK brother applied to be a BKA board member, as per the Constitution of Brahma Kumaris Australia (2007). On receipt of his application an email was privately circulated
among board members, belittling the applicant and mocking his application.This email was accidentally cc:d and so circulated to some BK students who were rather unimpressed. This development led to that rarity called ‘a board apology’. However,
we remain wonderstruck that BKA culture should be so morally dodgy that it allows for such rudeness in the first place.
BKA enjoys generous tax concessions from the public, and is responsible in this country for guidance of an institution claiming to exclusively represent the One True God of all Religions who has descended on to this material plane, so we think it
should make a bit more effort to get it together. We remain happy to help manifest this effort, as we have often offered, well before this site appeared.😮
