BK GRASS ROOTS MOVES TO MAKE BK CENTRES CRUELTY FREE

BRAHMA KUMARIS VEGAN INITIATIVE.

This traditionally designed, sensitively composed document is being sent to BKWSU/O centres in many countries around the world, in hard copy and by email.

Hello again dear friends,

Happy New Year to everyone!

The Brahma Kumaris Vegan Initiative, powered by old BKs from England, Europe, the Middle East and Australia, is in the process of sending hard copies of the gentle flyer above to BK teaching centres around the world, encouraging  the centres to 'walk the talk' on BKWSU lifestyle, pronouncements and the group's stated environmental attitudes.

However, given the nature of mid level BK authority, which is  generally submissive, in the tradition of all religions, it is quite a challenge to interest BK teaching centres in a change to their  diet and understanding, even though most are aware of the dreadful cruelty to cows, the well documented environmental horrors of 'dairy farming' as well as the threats to good health of continuing  addictions to dairy. Yes, we are all 'johnny-come-lately's to these realisations, and believed a 'vegetarian diet' along with a bunch of maryadas was indeed 'following the highest principles' as BK  tells the world. Now it is clear that they are not.+=TIME TO GO VEGAN!

So friends do check out the little document, and feel free to post this page to facebook, just click on the logo below, and do visit the  facebook page 'Brahma Kumaris Go Vegan'. And dear friends, all the way to the end of 2017, may you have a rewarding and compassionate year❤

PS A slide show is below, and I just thought to post this reminder by Matthew Scully:

"Animals are more than ever a test of our character, of our capacity for empathy and for decent, honorable conduct and faithful stewardship. We are called to treat them with kindness, not because they have rights or power or some claim to equality, but in a sense because they don't; because they all stand unequal and powerless before us.
When we let a demanding palate make our moral choices, that is greed. When we ascribe the Divine will to our own whims, that is pride. And when we get annoyed at being reminded of animal suffering that our own daily choices might help avoid, that is moral cowardice.”
